For cleaning the formwork panels two types of brushes are used, ones of fine wire to brush the top of the panels normally made of phenolic material, and others of harder wire to clean the metallic edges.
Crimped brushes, due to their flexibility, are appropriate to work on uneven surfaces and get more regular and finer finishing. On the other hand, knotted brushes offer longer last and higher removal capacity, and get a rough finishing.
