These disc brushes, featuring abrasive filaments and a standard flange mounting, are designed for the surface treatment of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. They remove burrs, slag resulting from laser or plasma cutting, rust and scale, producing uniform, satin-finished surfaces or surfaces prepared to improve the adhesion of subsequent coatings.
Types of abrasive
- Aluminium oxide: suitable for general applications on steel and iron.
- Zirconium: particularly suitable for treating stainless steel.
- Ceramic: : offers high material removal rate, cold cutting and self-sharpening properties. It stands out for its durability and performance on stainless steel, as well as its versatility when working with different metals.
Types of brush
- Flap: an abrasive structure designed for rapid and intensive material removal.
- Scotch (non-woven): suitable for general deburring operations and for achieving uniform surface finishes.
- High Density: composed exclusively of abrasive filament, without any non-woven material. It is designed for more pronounced edge rounding.
Direction of rotation
The choice between the Right and Left versions depends on the direction of rotation of the machine spindle. On dual-head machines, combining a brush from each direction allows work to be carried out from both sides and helps to achieve a balanced finish.
Standard Mounting System
The standard flange mounting is designed for installation on machines and heads compatible with this system. It can be used on equipment from manufacturers such as Costa, Timesavers, Weber, Lissmac, Q-Fin, ARKU and Loewer, provided that the specific model supports this type of mounting.
